I'm taking my nephew to see Top Gun Maverick on Friday. He's 12, nearly 13. What should I tell him about the original, which he has not seen? I'm tempted to tell him nothing. Maybe I should tell him a little about Navy pilots and TOPGUN or maybe how Goose died

Tell him about the homoerotic scenes.
Top Gun is a much gayer movie than Maverick. There are very similar scenes in both movies that play a lot gayer in the original. I think it's because you were gay if you thought a man's body was beautiful in 1986, but in 2022 you're allowed to enjoy men's bodies without necessarily being gay

The Assassination Of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Underrated!
I really like it. Strange that people feel so differently about it. A good friend of mine that I used to work with, came into work one day, and said he had seen the worst movie ever. This was it.
Today my wife absolutely hated this movie. Like I’ve never seen from her before, or maybe this and the new Spiderman.
I love westerns, and consider this one of the better 21st century westerns.
