So season five of The Wire begins with a clever little interrogation trick that has to do with a copy machine and "true"/"false" papers. Wasn't that an episode of Homicide too?

Amazing scene on both shows, too; it gets better when you find out it was based on a real interrogation tactic that detectives used (it's in Simon's book).

I know Skitch's avatar is for Homocide but I still think of Midnight Run whenever I see it. I love that movie and he's great as Agent Mosley

Spoiler: show
I thought about the entire Homicide unit, but Pembleton was too new york, felton wasn't central enough. Munch is thought of more on SVU now, Bayliss was a good character but didn't scream "baltimore". Lewis and Howard are too common of last names to be effective. That left Bolander and Giardello...and it was a toss up. I think I just went with Gee because his name sounds cooler.

I would have gone with Bolander, but that's still fucking awesome.

I really did go back and forth, and honestly, until the moment I ordered it, I was planning on Bolander.

Here's a Homicide moment that's a good example of what separates it from other cop shows.

It's not an important moment. It's not action packed, or a twist, or an "aha we solved the crime!" moment.

Great scene. One of the things I loved about the early seasons was how all the cast members interacted so well in the scenes. They got away from that later and focused more on the partnerships, which I think made the show suffer a little.

It did. Although I enjoyed when they replaced it with occasional out of character pairings- like Lewis and Frank, or Bayliss and Kellerman, etc.

All of Lewis' pairings were hilarious. Who was he with when he crashed into the crime scene? Was it Munch?

I'll pay you back the $5 bucks back if you make yourself copies and send that set around for all interested parties

Why couldn't I send the copies around instead?
