I'm reading Semiosis by Sue Burke and Wool by Hugh Howey. I realized while reading these books (plus the Wayward Pines trilogy previously) that I don't have the heart for this kind of book any more. I have enough depressing future in the real world right now, I don't need to read about them too.

I tried Wool and bailed around page 25. My buddy says the series is awesome, but it just wasn't grabbing me.

I still haven't tackled Here I Am.

But Extremely Loud was the first JSF that I read and it captured me. I still rank that one above EiI. But both are just outstanding.
