great pick.

I miss Lanegan.

So this never happened because both kids were sick, but on the plus side I got to stay home from the NYE party and got to bed by like 10:30.

I've been slacking on my reading. I've not found a book to keep my interest.

There was discussion recently about "How do I find books to read?" Here's a list with descriptions of 218 books coming out this year (mix of fiction and memoir for the most part, but some other stuff mixed in): https://lithub.com/lit-hubs-most-antici ... ks-of-2023

How many of those books were written by A.I.? I can only trust books written before Constantine's adoption of Christianity now

Today’s US-Japan development is foretold in the book

Quote:
Biden and Kishida to Bolster U.S.-Japan Alliance Amid China’s Growing Power
The two leaders are set to discuss tensions with China, North Korea and Russia and to plan for deterrence in Asia with U.S. troops and missiles.

Did you know there is a Penguin edition of The Bible? What's up with that?

Cyberpunk time:

I thought this was pretty dumb. There was some interesting stuff about language, but it isn't delved into very deeply. The rest is pretty bland and corny.

This was a pretty solid book. Probably too complicated for it's own good and I couldn't keep up with all the characters, but I thought it was a fun detective story. Will probably read another one in the series.

Reread. This book is blowing my brains out lately. One can't overstate just how different we are from people living about 3000 years ago. not even different species. More like people living in entirely different universes.

I'm doubtful of it, Burt. I haven't read the book itself
