Started Secret History.
I am stiiiiiilllll slogging through The Little Friend, although I am hoping to finish this weekend. Nowhere as good as Secret History.
I'm almost done with Crime and Punishment and was thinking about Little Friend next, but I might just skip on to Goldfinch and see what that's about.

It's about a thousand pages too long! AYY-OH!!!
Maybe I should just let Donna Tartt remain pristine in my mind and read The Sleepwalkers instead

Like I said before, I didn't care for Goldfinch. And I'm onlyl 4% into Secret History. So I don't have an opinion of that book yet. But based on Goldfinch alone, I don't see what the big deal is. So, maybe if you love SH that much, moving on is the move.

Been meaning to get to this for a little while, it's my first time checking out Ellroy:
I just received my copy of this today via Amazon. It’s included in an omnibus of the Underworld USA series. I got all the books in this “universe.” It’s pretty daunting but I’m committed.

So I'm about a quarter of the way through A Secret History. How the fuck does someone write such a readable book? It's insane. It just... flows.
Right?
