Just watched the season (originally series) finale. Can’t wait to see what’s next. This was the best season since the first or second.

The way they got to where they are is bullshit tv contrivance, but man, I’d love to see a few seasons in the new locale.

Holy shit this is a peek into a crazy world.

Quote:
Decoder Ring is a podcast about cracking cultural mysteries. Every month host Willa Paskin, Slate’s TV critic, takes on a cultural question, object, idea, or habit and speaks with experts, historians, and obsessives to try to figure out where it comes from, what it means, and why it matters.

Today: Who gets to decide if Sherlock Holmes is gay? For more than a century, fans of Sherlock Holmes have been analyzing, debating, and creating new texts using Arthur Conan Doyle’s characters. Decoder Ring explores the Johnlock conspiracy, a fan theory about the BBC TV show Sherlock, which posits the inevitability of a gay romance between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson. With interviews from historians, journalists, and fans at the heart of this controversial idea, this episode explores the theory, how it played out in the real world, and whether this kind of fandom is a meaningful way of interacting with fiction.

Catching up on Elementary. While the supporting cast isn't as great as other modern iterations of Sherlock Holmes, Johnny Lee Miller is by far the best modern Holmes we have. He is amazing.

Absolutely. Joan is annoying as hell.

Final season of Elementary starts May 23. And when that's done, I'll only have one show left that I watch on network TV

Haven't been on the Elementary case for a few seasons now. Might get back on at some point.

I love Elementary. The finale last season would have been a great series finale. It also would have been a great mid-series jolt. I’ll appreciate these last 13 eps, for sure. And LMS, Joan is great.

Joan is ok, but JLM is underappreciated in what he is doing in this role

Not by anyone watching. He’s better than Doctor Strange

He's phenomenal. Joan is a drag (unless she's dropped the whole caring about his substance abuse/family)

Only one episode left. This season has been great. A LOT of nods to the books and short stories. Especially in the last few episodes.

Finishing up the final season of Elementary. I'm going to miss Jonny Lee Miller's portrayal of Sherlock

Yeah. That last season was really good too. Hell, the last two of them.
