Havent seen Minari yet, but damn these films are so...safe and boring. Happy to see Mank, Promising Young Women and Sound Of Metal but they dont have a chance.

Promising Young Woman and Judas are my favorites so far. Haven't seen Mank, Minari, or The Father, but I have low expectations for that last one.

What 2020 films have you heard of? I don't think of these as particularly under the radar selections, other than "Another Round" for Best Director

I can understand what you mean. But it's an excellent film. The photography and performances are well worth it. I think you'll find a lot to like about it once you decide to watch it.

Yeah I also am kind of uninterested in biopic films at the moment but this one was really complex and dynamic.

Riz Ahmed is my favorite actor in the world right now. From Nightcrawler, to The Night Of, from Star Wars to Sound of Metal, the dude's range has proved pretty astonishing within a small body of work.
