The thing I like about the movies is that the screen is big and I have to watch it in one sitting since I don't have a remote with a pause button constantly taunting my short attention span.
I'm not really a fan of any of the Predator movies. But I don't have a problem with this new take. Maybe I'll see it, maybe I won't. I'll wait for a trailer to tell me what to do.

Its basically the same idea than the first one. First encounter with the Predator, now years before the first one, and in the jungle. They changed Arnie and the military based story for a warrior in the jungle.
I guess I don't see how it's different than any prequel/sequel. I love that it's called Prey. I think it's cool that it's set 300 years before the first movie. Again, these movies aren't really my jam but the details I've read sound interesting. But maybe you're right. Once we see footage maybe it really will just be a shot for shot remake.
What im saying is that is covering material we already got. For example Predator 2 was super different than the previous. Predators too.
And this one may be as well. We don't know yet. That's all I'm saying. The details I've read don't sound like a retread to me. But I'm happy to wait and see.
