I haven't seen any of them in years, but I suspect I'd still put the two Godard over 400 Blows. And I loved Band of Outsiders, the scene of them dancing in the cafe is still vivid in my mind. I wouldn't be surprised if I ranked that above Breathless, too

To interject on the Westerns question, The Proposition would be on mine.
I love westerns, and that’s a good movie. I’ve always felt westerns needed to be about the 19th century American west, or at least the American west/frontier. Although you are certainly in the majority on that one.

I have a much looser definition of what is a western. For instance I consider Black '47 to be a western and it takes place in Ireland. Its has all the hallmarks though.
