I first saw Clockwork Orange when I was 16. I hated it. I wasn't ready. Without watching it again, it grew on me. It just stuck in my head and I began to appreciate it. Then when I re-watched it at 19, I was really into it. It still shocks and impresses every time I re-visit it. It's an evil movie, I just have to be prepared for that

It’s everything. The pacing. The darkness. The voiceover. The whole thing is extremely cold in all the worst ways. It’s an extremely well-articulated piece of art yet I struggle to find anything redeeming about it beyond that.
I don't hate every aspect, more like dislike, but my experience was similar.

How do you arrive at "sucks so bad" while admitting that it’s an extremely well-articulated piece of art? The pacing isn't perfect, and yes, it is very cold, but it's still a fantastic movie.

A Clockwork Orange sucks so bad
It's because of the rape, isn't it?

I mean cancer is a well-articulated cellular disease but it’s not exactly enjoyable
1. Black Swan 2. The King’s Speech 3. How To Train Your Dragon 4. Kick-Ass 5. Trollhunter 6. Toy Story 3 7. Inception 8. The Fighter 9. Flipped 10. Winter’s Bone
2011 top ten:
1. A Separation 2. War Horse 3. Warrior 4. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 5. Headhunters 6. The Descendants 7. Intouchables 8. The Lincoln Lawyer 9. The Raid: Redemption 10. Drive
Been watching a lot of movies from these years recently. Nearly done with 2012. Have a top ten list ready, but will watch the remaining thirteen movies before posting it here.
2012 top ten:
1. Jagten 2. Django Unchained 3. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower 4. Frances Ha 5. End Of Watch 6. Silver Linings Playbook 7. Life Of Pi 8. Wreck-it Ralph 9. 21 Jump Street 10. Argo
I think a valid case could be made that 2010 and 2011 were both stronger years for movies than 2012, but I did enjoy my time watching and rewatching the 2012 movies, and I do like all 30 movies in those three top ten lists.
Based on my previous ratings I think 2013, would end up in fourth from those years. But I've still got 50+ movies to watch (at least half are rewatches), so we'll see how that goes. My top ten list will (in my taste and opinion) either way, still be good.
