I halfway expect this season to be where I finally get off the bus.
Matt Smith was magnificent in the way that he could come across as a tired old man and an energetically excitable child all at once. I stayed last season for him, and I doubt there'll ever be an actor who so perfectly captures what it is that draws me to that character.
The writing of late has ranged from adequate to terrible, terrible crap.

Absolutely agree.
I'll be here when I'm 50 still swooning over the Doctor.

I was flipping around today and happened to catch a Christmas Special from Season 7. First episode I've watched since the early 80's. Seemed like a really good place to jump in since they introduced a new side kick and she was super cute. Think Amazon Prime has a lot of episodes I'm gonna get into it.
