Loved the first episode. The visuals are stunning and the story was good enough. |

We’ll be watching this as some point. Love the book. Vaguely remember the old miniseries. |

Shout out to that actress who was also on the Godzilla show, she’s making bank this year I’m sure. |

Ep 2 was way better than 1. Good move releasing them both to start. I’ll see it through, but it’s A LOT of reading. I appreciate the white savior just for the language reprieve. On a personal level, I’m not a big fan of prevalent aspects of Asian culture. I hate their concept of honor (please let me commit seppuku for speaking out of turn). Mostly, I can’t stand the slurping. There are less disgusting ways to show appreciation for food. |

Pretty cool so far. The actor who plays the white savior is a strange individual. |

It’s on my radar, but it looks deep and artful. Intend to binge the season once it’s done. |

The main White character is awful. Not sure we will bother with episode 2 |

*whispers* is the only white character in a show about Japan not supposed to be awful? |

I really liked all of the stuff in the latest episode before they got on the road, it was a good set-piece of tension building, but there are elements that have missed the mark for me. But I’m willing to give it more time. Always appreciate a good Catholic vs Protestant story, makes all those Western Civ classes seem worth it. |

I wasn't as enamoured with episode three; still enjoying it and I'll tune in till the end but yeah; the mechanics were WAY more obvious, it's incredibly clear that
