Silence of the Lambs (1991) Hud (1963) Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) Back to the Future (1985) Red Dragon (2002) The Place Beyond the Pines (2013) Raising Arizona (1987) Last of the Mohicans (1992)
Enjoyed them all, except Red Dragon which I didn't finish.
The main contenders this week are Silence of the Lambs, Back to the Future and The Last of the Mohicans. I had somehow never seen Silence or Mohicans before and they were both a real treat. Back to the Future I've seen many times, but this was my first time seeing it in a (packed) theater.
I've got to give it to Silence of the Lambs - great performances from Foster, Levine and Hopkins.
I would happily recommend all of these movies (except Red Dragon)

It’s not that bad though? Certainly worth finishing.
I don't know why, but it really rubbed me the wrong way. I have quite a strong connection to the Hannibal TV show and Manhunter and this was just a worse version of those.
My biggest complaint was Ed Norton. I was just getting nothing out of his performance at all.

How did Killers of the Flower Moon rank on the list above?
I liked it well enough, but I didn't love it. I maybe need to see it again because, while I was able to follow the story just fine, there were a few times that a character was killed and I had no idea who they were.

That’s my movie of the week. With Shirley Maclaine and Jack Lemmon, directed by Billy Wilder. Some fantastic scenes, and a fun movie overall. Biggest negative is that it is really long.

The Warriors (1979) Rollerball (1975) Halloween (1978) The Shining (1980) Doctor Sleep (2019) Badlands (1973) Red Eye (2005) Night of the Living Dead (1968)
No stinkers last week, but The Shining is the clear winner. I saw it in the theater and it was a stunning experience.

Found the movie on Amazon Prime.
That is quite long, but it's definitely intriguing. I'll add it to the list.

A light work load and depression made for a lot of movies last week -
Dawn of the Dead (1978) GoldenEye (1996) Day of the Dead (1985) Shin Godzilla (2016) Return of the Living Dead (1985) Soylent Green (1973) Zombi 2 (1979) Misery (1990) Re-Animator (1985) Return of the Living Dead 2 (1988) Geronimo (1993) Priscilla (2023) Land of the Dead (2005) Stand by Me (1986)
Best was Stand by Me. An absolute classic. My favorite of the zombie movies was Return of the Living Dead . It struck a great balance between gore and comedy.
The worst movie of the week was Return of the Living Dead 2. It was very stupid.
