Wrapped this tonight. This was my favorite show of the year, even more than Barry S3 and Better Call Saul. Those shows are hugely entertaining and interesting, and prior seasons moved me in a serious way. But nothing this year has moved me like this.

Spent the last five minutes of the finale all choked up

I was also a bit surprised when he showed up, as he's definitely a bigger star than any of the actors on the show and that appearance was basically an extended cameo. I guess it's important that the character has some gravitas and that the audience immediately likes him or feels drawn to him, and a familiar face helps with that. So maybe the showrunners went out of their way to cast someone famous like him. I have no idea though. Maybe he's banging the producer or something, I don't know

Or maybe he’s recurring through flashbacks in season 2?

And Sugar is Chris Elliott’s kid.

It’s very interesting to see him as Mike and have the “reunion” with Rich.

It's really fucking good and the Radiohead needle drop was an absolute all-timer. Bernthal is a god.

Yeah I was getting worked up then Let Down began and I started crying.

I actually think those last five minutes might go down as one of the all time best season endings. Took every preceding moment to earn that catharsis.

Me too. Then the shot of Bernthal at the end was a crescendo that knocked me out.
