This is apparently getting a second season. Not sure how I feel about that. I love everything about the show but I was expecting a complete story told in limited series format. I hope this doesn’t blunt the storytelling choices.

It won't have any impact on the current season, as shooting is wrapped and final ep is likely in the can by now.
But I agree I'm less interested in a followup season. It's a slippery slope to being 24.

I wasn’t a big fan of most of episode 5. Felt like a lot of on-the-nose, overly speechy monologues. Acting still great but I was watching the clock for a lot of this.

Totally agree. Felt like the show was up its own ass. Worst ep so far.

Yeah. On paper everything that happened this episode needed to happen to move things forward in a way that made sense, but the episode dragged as a whole.

This was very uneven. Saw the twist coming like four episodes ago. Did not foresee the unsatisfying ending, since it didn’t get a S2 order until after it started airing.
Everything with Bridges, Lithgow, and Brenneman is really great. Everything with Shawkat, Bonilla, and Lubany is like network TV bad. 50/50 I stick around for S2.

That ending WAS a rather risky gamble.

I thought Shawkat was great.
