watching tonight so not reading anything

I can't say I'm happy about this and Succession ending in the same week - that's a big hole in my weekly viewing pleasure to fill

maybe they can make a show where Danny just kicks balls into the crotches of the succession guys..I'd watch

Great ending, extremely satisfying. A few random questions from the final moments:

1. Why did Roy hang up an illustration of a woman with her boobs crossed out?

2. During the wedding scene, who the hell was the Dave Bautista-looking guy with the newborn baby strapped to his chest?

3. What was the significance of Jamie looking at pics with the old dude? It wasn’t his dad. That was weird.

A review in Variety says that was his dad and he’s sober now. Huh.

my wife started crying when the team broke out the sound of music..it was great...also cat Stevens at the end was fitting..will miss this show

We watched the last two episodes ove the last two nights.

Goddamn you Coach for making me forgive Nate.

I wept like a little girl when they were pulling all the pieces of the Believe sign out and put it back together.

I wondered the same thing as Trag about the guy with the baby at the wedding.

Roy’s niece has a thing for drawing naked ladies, trag. Assuming she drew it for him.

Figured Nate would’ve ended up as head coach.

Everything I’ve seen/heard with Sudeikis, he always says THIS STORY is over. Makes me think something else may be in the works. I really hope so. This is one of the best series finales ever tho.

The creator did an AMA today and he was pretty blunt that any manner of future seasons/spin-offs is on the table, but they’re all honestly too fried to think about it just yet. He said they’ll take a break then regroup and think about the next story, if any.

The description on AppleTV says “season finale” and not “series finale.” Maybe, just maybe.

Bill Lawrence has said from the beginning that the show was pitched with a planned three session arc, but that didn't mean there weren't more stories to tell. Just that the one initial story arc was planned and nothing beyond that was specifically on their minds.

In the episode Ted

tells Trent to change the title of his book because it was never about him (in fact, a spinoff/retooled show called The Richmond Way focusing on the men's and new women's team would make a ton of sense)

. And he's absolutely right, it never was.

So while I thought this was a perfect series finale and I'm fine without more stories from these characters, there's a very clear backdoor built in. And if everyone is onboard, I'll certainly watch it and give it a try. They've earned a shot.

Agreed. The real challenge will be getting the main cast together, which will get exponentially harder as time goes on. I’d really want to see:
