I watch a lot of Cheyenne with my stepfather. while the plots are kind of easy to figure out (body gets blamed for something/helps out a struggling family/creates a truce with the local indians) they are pretty entertaining. its also weird to see a young james garner or dennis hopper getting their acting chops on
gunsmoke is another we watch. a mustacheless burt renyolds is weird to see
anyone watch these old tv serials?

I've been toying with the idea of watching Bonanza from the beginning to end.

Have watched a lot of Bonanza. Have always wanted to see How the West Was Won and Gunsmoke, since they were huge in Norway and in my family, before I was born.

I listen to an episode-by-episode Bonanza podcast but have never watched a single episode.

Hearing Andy Daly describe the episodes is infinitely more entertaining than watching them.

Michael Landon was a bit of an institution in my family growing up with Little House and Highway to Heaven but I don't remember ever watching Bonanza. In the endless re-runs I watched as a little kid I don't remember it ever being on in my area.

I watched reruns of Bonanza and Gunsmoke when I was a kid. I wonder how they would hold up now. I bet Ben Cartwright would come off as a total asshole nowadays.

Lonesome Dove is one of the best westerns, for tv or movies.
