Amazon Prime: Invincible

by Peeps » Mon April 05, 2021 6:55 pm

four episodes in and i am hooked. the animation is very well done. the story telling is at a great pace and really explores the characters so you have a great understanding of what is going on. I have seen the book it is based on but never picked it up but feel like i could and not miss a beat

I watched it. I feel like it's a watered down The Boys.

But I did appreciate Jason Mantzoukas having a foursome with the girl who duplicates herself.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

The comic? I haven't read either comic.

My comment was based solely on the television shows.

The last 2-3 episodes of this season are amazing.

Love this show! Episode 1 hooked me - glad it's been renewed for 2 more seasons. Excellent casting

I found it a little light and childish at first, but it got deep and really smart by the end.

I admittedly have bias for Kirkman and TWD - I wish Outcast had been a tad better and not cancelled. I still haven't seen season 2 of that show yet. It is funny - at one point during the episode last night I asked Mrs. Jam what Kirkman's deal was with beating the absolute shit out of characters cast with Steven Yeun :haha: Walton Goggins was a great choice for Cecil. I may try to find the compendiums at McKay's in G'boro & Winston.

The fight scenes are kinda nuts in this, huh. It's almost jarring seeing these kiddie-in-appearance superheroes torn to shreds. Pretty wild aesthetic.

When do new episodes drop for the show, and why doesn't Amazon tell me when that's going to happen?
