"Lovely, Dark, and Deep"

in theory this should've been everything I want in a horror movie but it seemed disjointed and random, I'm not sure I understood the story being dripfed through the scares; I did think the resolution and idea behind the premise was cool, I'll probably eventually go back and see if a second viewing improves things for me

so I know this thread is mainly about TV and movies, but I've just finished (in three sittings) this deep-dive into Junji Ito's Uzumaki manga and it's great

is it? I've avoided it because I can't stomach the idea of any Ito media without his highly detailed black and white art style; I'm looking forward to the Adult Swim adaptation (if it ever arrives)

I really think you would love it and probably even see a new layer to it. I need to re read it but it was so fucking wild and at the same time weird.

A Black Hole is really great, yeah. Depressing in a good way is how I'd describe it.

Also, of all the Tomie adaptations, I think Tomie Unlimited is the wildest, followed by Rebirth.
