Gonna try "Mad God" this week. No idea what to expect... and not sure I can overcome the mental association with the California Raisins.

Things that make you go hmmm...

In November 2017, Adam Marcus revealed that an overlooked plot-point of the movie is that Jason Voorhees is actually connected to the Evil Dead franchise. The filmmaker stated, “Pamela Voorhees makes a deal with the devil by reading from the Necronomicon to bring back her son. This is why Jason isn’t Jason. He’s Jason plus The Evil Dead, and now I can believe that he can go from a little boy that lives in a lake, to a full grown man in a couple of months, to Zombie Jason, to never being able to kill this guy. That, to me, is way more interesting as a mashup, and [Evil Dead creator Sam] Raimi loved it! It’s not like I could tell New Line my plan to include The Evil Dead, because they don’t own The Evil Dead. So it had to be an Easter egg, and I did focus on it…there’s a whole scene that includes the book, and I hoped people would get it and could figure out that’s what I’m up to. So yes, in my opinion, Jason Voorhees is a Deadite. He’s one of The Evil Dead.”

yeah, he is the director of Jason Goes To Hell, and wanted to bring the necromicon on that movie and then use it on Freddy Vs Jason as a part of a battle between hell and those dream monsters that appear on Freddy 6.
There were lots of talks about Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash for year. When it didnt happened, they release two comic books about it, they featured pretty much all the remaining characters of the franchises, they are very fun.
The Halloween comics are also cool, there is one were Laurie picks up Michael mask and replaces him.

Happy to hear Skinamarink has made $1M against all odds and will be on Shudder next month; regardless of how much I end up liking it, I'm just glad movies like this are still being made and doing alright

Watched Sick on Peacock...pretty good slasher flick set during the beginning of Covid. Was kinda worried how they would work Covid into it, but thought they did a good job.
Don't watch the trailer, it spoils one of the best scenes of the movie -
