Resurrection didnt do much for me. Have you seen The Night House? Love her in there. I think is one of her best roles yet.

yeah, the night house was good but a bit formulaic...i really didnt know what to expect from Resurrection. Felt bold, wild and different.

And that scene with her telling that story...jesus christ.

My favorite horror of the year so far:

1.X
2.Nope
3.Men
4.Dr Strange 2
5.Hatching
6.Scream
7.You Wont Be Alone
8.Watcher
9.Resurrection
10.Crimes of the Future (love Cronenberg, love the themes, but didnt like the film as a whole)

Also like Prey, but that's more sci fi and action than horror. Didnt like the ending though. Havent seen Bodies and Barbarian yet.

I expect this list will change drastically by the end of the year.

Speak No Evil

Nah, this one wasnt good. The main couple is stupid, they really make bizarre choices. This movies tried to hide its sneakness and bad taste behind a horror movie.

A piece of crap.

I thought it was good, but the amount of suspension of disbelief you have to sustain is huge for the movie to be effective.
I realize that I tend to be more permissive when the protagonists are stupid in old movies and more strict in new ones.

i found it cynical and gross just for the sake of it

Spoiler: show
i was surprised on how stupid the parent were...why the fuck do you pack everything for the second time when you realize whats happening? how come you dont tell your wife about? why not run like crazy in that open field? the bad guys tell them they did it because they let it....well the whole movie is those two telling them no, no this is not ok, this is not good...weird as fuck
