Tried an episode the other night. It was fine? Tucci seems like a nice enough guy, but for me this lacks the soul, authenticity, and cultural insights of Parts Unknown. It’s, like, just a food show. Whatever.

It’s not trying to be Parts Unknown. It’s just a pleasant show about Italy and its diverse food. Ban trag

Yes I get that. All I am saying is that while the show is pleasant, I’m not terribly interested in this, or really any other show that it wholly about food. I’m trying to pay a compliment to Bourdain, but not trying to diss Tucci

Haven’t got this show here. But there are several good food related shows out there. Nice genre. Will try this out when it arrives here.

Tucci did get pretty political in the Sicily episode, focusing on all the immigration issues Italy faces.

 Thanks. My wife seemed to enjoy the Napoli episode, so if she throws this one on I'll give it another shot.

I’ve been to Venice four times I think? And never had anything super memorable.
