I’ve got a lotta quibbles with this movie, but Murray and that scene isn’t one of them. His purpose was to highlight what Pfeiffer’s leaving did to the quantum realm.

Who can take Kang seriously as a threat after getting beat by Loki and Ant Man? Now it will take an entire Avengers team? Yeah right. Major's alleged bad behavior might just save the MCU by making them switch directions.
