He probably sacrifices himself for his daughter.
But not to his death. Just to get stuck in the Quantum Realm. He will be king of the Quantum Realm now, but not in the style of Kang. More like a benevolent, democratically selected hero king. The Quantum Realm isn't so bad after all, even if not so much happens now that Kang is dead/gone/imprisoned/pacified. A peaceful world that doesn't need heroes isn't such a bad life, Ant-Man was never comfortable in the hero role anyway. And Cassie is safe and free, that's all that really matters.
Post-credits scene of Ant-Man playing 3D floating chess in the Quantum Realm with some tall bug humanoid. They laugh, oh how they laugh

If only he could appear in the movie. We all know it’s the fucking Microverse, Disney!
Marvel owns Bug, tho…

I was tipped off by my nephew to watch WandaVision before Dr Strange 2. I couldn't bring myself to actually watch the series, but I read the plot summaries. Good thing, too, because my nephew was correct that the movie would make little sense to me had I not been familiar with the series.
In a similar vein, should I read the plot summary of Loki before seeing this movie? Should I wait for my nephew to see it first and then solicit his advice?

Ant-Man is their most generic and safe movie series. A real shame since it should have been their weirdest. Too bad we'll never know what Edgar Wright had planned.
