No not at all. It's just what I heard. The fall would really encompass the three sequel books so I don't know how it would work.

I hope Jason Momoa's subpar acting isn't too distracting. That's the only thing I'm really worried about.

I'm not sure how far Villeneuve plans to go with the entire storyline but, if he does the whole thing (6+ books), Idaho is arguably the most important character in the entire saga.

I was also concerned with the Iron Man-style "nanobot visor" Paul was wearing that opened up at the end. I hate that shit.

Reviews are coming out. I probably shouldn't read them but I can't help myself. Reading some good things about this.

My key takeaway is that the plot will probably be too confusing for my wife to keep up with (because she won’t care enough to pay attention). Net result is I can maybe go see it in the theater by myself.

Yeah I am in the same boat. I'll probably see in theater for visuals and then go up to my office in the loft and watch again by myself to catch anything I may have missed.

I’m avoiding all reviews but have seen some hysterically giddy ones praising it and some just stupid ones where the writer seems to be overcome with alcohol and ranting about his mother.
I trust neither.
I’ll save this film for my eyes. No reviews.

I love Villeneuve, but think his aesthetic is all wrong for Dune. But maybe he understands how to get at some of the deeper elements in the story. We'll see.
