I still don't understand why she denies it initially. It left me confused at Bond's reaction when Malek threatens her later on. Not that he wouldn't want to save a kid but the extremity of his reaction seemed, well, extreme. Makes perfect sense if he knows it's his kid. There's a lot of sloppy stuff in this movie I'm surprised they didn't clean up.
Daniel Craig’s Bond is in his own universe. I think they just go back to one off Bond’s after this. I actually felt like they cleaned up a lot of the poor parts from Spectre as well as they could.
Barbara Brocoli is already on record saying Bond won’t be female. Bond does have a kid in one of the books, so its staying somewhat loyal to the source material. At the start, Madeline tells Bond she has something to tell him and when he puts her on the train, she’s holding her stomach.

Seeing it again today in IMAX.
Didn't even realize this was in IMAX too. Welp, I'll be seeing this movie again now.

I guess in You Only Live Twice they were headed that way with Kissy Suzuki getting pregnant with his child but you’re right. It’s similar in that he leaves without knowing she’s pregnant.

somehow i was able to avoid all spoilers before seeing it, and i'm glad i was. i don't think the movie was great, but for a daniel craig/this version of bond's sendoff it's hard to find too much to complain about. i thought this one stretched the realism - as much as there is in 007 movies anyway - beyond what the previous craig films had, so that was a bit disappointing. there were a few moments where the tone and action felt nearer to the brosnan bond movies than the craig ones. i also felt there wasn't enough meaningful screen time for the majority of the other players, like the new 007, to make their characters and events of this movie really sink in. agreed, though, that ana de armas made the most of her bit in the story. i do like that this movie took some risks with its characters that no previous bond films have tried, it's just a bit of a shame that the movie had too much story to get through. that said, i was entertained from start to finish and it's been a joy to watch daniel craig as bond over these last five films. i have to think a full reboot is coming, and i'd be lying if i said i wasn't looking forward to seeing what comes next now that we really have no clue what the future holds.

Everybody's talking about Dune Dune Dune, but this right here is the big movie to beat. There is no doubt about it: this was a Daniel Craig James Bond movie, it had all the hallmarks and no one can say they are disappointed. But it did everything so much better than I was expecting. The Ana de Armas segment was tremendous, but the whole movie really worked. I'm also glad to be able to say that early-2000s-Paul-Greengrass-Bourne-Identity style of action scene camera work seems to be finally dead. The camera is still active and moving and feels lively, but I can actually follow what is going on because it doesn't shake and jump and vibrate to the point of inducing nausea. I thought this one was great

yeah, Fukunaga did a great job in the action sequences. He is a monster. I would fucking love to see an action flick with him directing and Arnold or Sly starring.

Yes! I tried watching Quantum of Solace a few weeks ago, and remembered why this movie annoyed so many people. The camera work was nauseating. There was a decent story in this flick, but it's mostly unwatchable because of the handi-cam.

I love QOS. It’s grown on me a lot over the years. Camera work sucks but the movie itself I really like.
And yes, Fukanaga impressed me to the point where I need to watch his other stuff. The horror elements in this movie were great, like the start and the scene in the Norway woods, which might have been my favorite moment.
