While this show gets more silly and supernatural, I have to admit they're still maintaining a great creep factor. The scene in this week's episode in the kitchen had me sufficiently freaked out.

Thoughts on last nights episode? I thought it was mostly pretty great, and I’m on board fully for the supernatural territory that we are now very firmly in happening… But man, that fight scene between the cop and the apparition of the woman I’m assuming was his mother looked so low budget and silly. Classic king adaptation in that respect.

I loved the pilot. Then I read ST's post and had the same concerns. I don't need another monster series in my life. But 5 eps in ... I kinda like it. It's not told through the horror of the children, like It. I feel like it's more of a show about grief.

The score is starting to bother me. They are using it to make every scene seem like it is going to have some big dramatic moment.

Good episode. More forward momentum in this latest one. The bad cop's molting skin is giving me a real case of the creepy crawlies.

Yeah this last one was great. I was really opposed to the supernatural element when they first teased it, but they've executed really well (except for that one scene between the cop and his "mother").

Penultimate episode was awesome. This is all going to end very badly.

What a pleasant surprise this show turned out to be. One of the all-time best King adaptations (though I’ve not read the book).

Great series! The finale felt tonally a fair bit different, like they changed the DP and editor. But narratively speaking, it was satisfying (and very King).

They should've combined the last two episodes. Building up all that tension last week only to leave it as a cliffhanger deflated the balloon going into this week a bit.

Well I thought the shootout was great. But then it was 40 minutes of quiet talking. :?

Yeah this ended ok. I thought it was a little anticlimactic? But was happy they didn't do one of those endings where they showed everyone living their lives after it all, then the last scene before dark was a cut to the beast opening an eye or something.

I might have liked a little more story on how/why it came to life in the cave.

Did you not watch the mid-credits scene?

So I didn't realize there was a mid-credits scene until today (watched the finale last night), and even without that scene, this line totally unnerved me and brought the rest of the finale into question. I don't know if it's from the book or anything, but if not it's a huge win for the writing team.

I now imagine there will be a Season 2.
