I felt this was going to be the crux when I heard about the release. I enjoy Cruise quite a bit but often more so when he shares the screen well with someone.

I liked it. Didn't care for how heavily it leaned on the first one, but it was a tight little movie that didn't waste time with bullshit. Cruise is an action movie artist.

The movie felt timid, in a way. Nervous to be too much of, or too direct about, anything. It was better made than a lot of stuff that makes a billion dollars, though.
