I laughed quite a bit. Worth it.

i was interested, but he said in his email that only 11 minutes were new from his MSG special a couple months ago. Please summarize those 11 minutes.

One of the frustrating joys of his show is that some of the best scenes play like brief vignettes buried in the middle of some thematically circuitous episode. There are parts that I remember so clearly as being hysterical, touching, odd…and I have no earthly idea what episode they’re in.

I enjoy that aspect quite a bit. It is not bound creatively to continue some banal overarching story arc just to satisfy people who care about that kind of thing or whatever, and is free to go to some pretty fantastic, novel places on a whim. It makes for a more interesting re-watch, also, because you do forget which moments are in which episodes.
