The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
I am very defensive over the need for comedians to be able to say whatever they want. I am also of the belief that those caught up with some of the #MeToo stuff shouldn't have their careers ended.

He masturbated in front of some chicks who didn't say no, which was weird but NOT rapey, and it was way in the past and he apologized for it. I think we can all move on and laugh at his hilarious jokes.

So, Kevin Hart is back on for the Oscars? I guess Louis just didn't have the clout anymore to say what he wants and get away with it.
It's pretty hard to do that when he makes fun of victims in a high school shooting.
He didn't make fun of the victims. He rightfully pointed out how they don't have anything to offer on the matter any more than someone who experienced any other kind of trauma.

For example, if I almost die in a car accident, do you think that inherently provides me with a higher perspective on what the rules of the road should be, even if I'm 12 years old and know NOTHING ABOUT THE WORLD?!?

I don't know on what scale of rapey it falls on but it seems more than just weird. Anyways me not being interested in him anymore doesn't mean you can't be.

I think the issue for me is that Louis CK, prior to being exposed, was a "normalish" guy that presented his mindset to the things we encounter with the same type of asshole thoughts we all (or me) have sometimes. He didn't hide it. He called his kids fucking assholes in his jokes. He said some assholish things, but never in a hateful way. He'd make a race joke but with the awareness that is was his perspective that was funny/ignorant. There was never anger or hate. Frustration occasionally. Hell, I think he even handled the response to being exposed the way it should have been "yeah, i realize I was a fucking asshole, im going away now for awhile."
But those Parkland jokes didn't seem like he's the same. He seems angry. Not aware. I think you can probably make a Parkland joke I'd laugh at. In fact im sure you could. But that wasn't it. And he doesn't seem like the same guy. Then he doubled down on Twitter the next day. Not with a "thats why im at a small club, trying to make these jokes right". Instead it was "I can say what I want'
Yes. You can. But i don't think im ever going to be interested enough to listen.
