Really dug it. Not as good as the first one and they tried to cram a lot into it. But overall I enjoyed the movie and was really moved. The end wrecked me.

Exactly
It’s the difference between searching for a way and finding the way she wanted to do it. She found her answer and at the moment was doing one thing symbolically that tied mourning him and her mother at the same time by burning the funeral clothes, a method her mother taught her. Namor’s appearance interrupted that mother/daughter moment and is in part why she needed to deal with the Namor problem first; it interrupted her T’Challa problem.

That's one way to look at it.
Another aspect, based on what you posted above, is that she got to have that mother/child moment.

I don’t agree that it was “rude” just that it was her taking a big step in that moment

If you don't agree then why are you trying to justify or "be fair" to vg?

To be fair to his point that it was a big moment in her grief as opposed to POV that she was grieving the whole movie. He was wrong, but right about one aspect of it

to be fair, i was half joking with the rude part... i thought it was funny Lupita chose that moment to drop such a bombshell. I get why, its because of poor ham fisted storytelling.
