I've seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople (liked), What We Do in the Shadows (loved), Jojo Rabbit (hated), Ragnarok (hated), and now Love & Thunder (his worst yet). He also had the worst performance of 2021 with his role in Free Guy. Not a fan
He is not a guy im interested on, he seems to have reach his peak in terms of visuals and comedy. He has this tendency to be so fucking correct and nice, its just so fucking boring.
I hope he stays away from the next Thor, whatever that is.

Yep as part of a nonsensical plot contrivance and one of the silliest resolutions I've ever seen. "CHOOSE LOVE" come on
This movie is a gross tonal mishmash, like putting ketchup in your orange juice. The moments that reach for dramatic power just come off ham-fisted and weak. I hated this movie so much lol

Saw this last night, and really wanted to love it, but at best it was alright. I thnk the highlight was Thor name checking Tūmatauenga as someone he wanted on his crew to take on Gorr....

it comes down to the script. TW co-wrote it and that's where Marvel fucked up. They see him as a golden boy and let him have free reign, which didn't turn out so well for this one.
The tone of the was just all over the place, Bale had good moments but too over the top in spots.
The Guardians just seemed off too.
Looking back on it, they gave away tons in the trailer.

It was kind of shocking how insultingly obvious and surface-level the scene was when Christian Bale got his motivation. They had the characters basically state it out loud. "I am a GOD and I think nothing of you! You are pathetic and I don't care that your kid died! Oh, that? That's just a god-killing sword we left lying around. Hope no one thinks to pick it up and kill us. Anyway, back to how much gods hate mortals"
its actually kind of funny how much you hate this movie...i mean, were you super exited about it? The trailers hinted about this one being really awful.
