The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.
Made it through the first two, and it's OK. The story feels rather two-dimensional, like they took the criticisms of capitalism, corporatism, and American imperialism from the previous seasons that made the characters and their world nuanced and interesting and said "this is waaay to deep for our audience, we need Homelander to be Trump, and we need it in TikTok sized chuncks". And having Butcher get Homelander's powers is a terrible plot point. Super-Hughie would be even worse. I assume what we are seeing is Edgar antagonizing Homelander to setup where it's "Dawn of the Seven" but with Homelander instead Stormfront... perhaps called "Rise of the Coalition of the Ascendant"... so he can sell this new drug.
One thing I really don't get is, why is Homelander scared of Edgar? The plane crash video? Just call it a deepfake and be done with it.

He's scared of him because Edgar doesn't fear Homelander like everyone else does.
At that point in the story, what Homelander wants more than anything else is to be loved. He wants a high Q rating with the public; he wants to be seen as a true hero. Edgar and Vought have a firm grip on the PR angle. That video coming out would destroy Homelander’s reputation and all he holds dear.
That thread is awful, but you gotta pity anyone who somehow failed to get that Homelander was a metaphor for the slippery slope from America as 'The World's Policeman' into Fascism, but I get that it can feel like "validate twitter feels" to some folks. Though I don't know who or what Blue Hawk is... I mean from the name I gonna guess it's a Derek Chauvin stand-in so newly-BLM'd A-Train can kill him at some point, like MM plus temp-V will inevitably kill Soldier Boy, but maybe not.
edit: Nevermind.. just saw a spoiler in that thread. 100% Chauvin.

Good episode but the depiction of Herogasm compared to the book was mildly disappointing.
I’m also not digging the split personality Homelander deal. Feels like that trope’s been done to death. You don’t need to beat the audience over the head with it - I think everyone knows his desire to be loved is core to his being and at odds with his sadistic tendencies.
