Having read the entire series - holy shit does it go some places - I'm wondering how faithful this can be.
Karl Urban is inspired casting but they obviously couldn't get Simon Pegg due to him getting old in the intervening years, which is a shame because Wee Hughie isn't very convincing in that trailer.

Just watched the last trailer and while everyone was interested, I had to make sure they both knew that the graphic novel is way more graphic than novel. Also I'm more than thrilled that they found a way for Simon Pegg to be in it, that's awesome.
I was actually on my way to see if anyone had watched the first episode. I know it's been changed for the format - no fucking way are they having shemale sex orgies on any mainstream television show, no matter who is airing it - and was hoping that the base story of corrupt supers is in there.

I finished the whole thing on sunday. It was so fun. Yeah, the made the seven way more human than i thought.
How far did the story go? By which I mean how many of the books did they mine? All the way up to the end, or is there a season 2 coming? There are a lot of books after all.

Season 2 is coming. They changed a lot from the comics and maintain a lot too.

There was ONE SCENE that Amazon said F**K NO, you have to cut. I couldn't quite understand why considering everything else we have in the show, but: Homelander, after being dressed down by Stilwell in episode 2, was standing on one of the Chrysler building Eagles. He pulled his pants down and started jerking off, mumbling "I can do whatever I want" over and over again until he climaxed all over New York City. We shot it! Oh my God, Anthony was the BEST in that scene. Amazon seemed to think it wasn't necessary. I thought it told me something about his psyche. To be clear, they've been great, that may have been the ONLY fight I lost in Season 1.
