At $7/mo, this is gonna be a Netflix killer, especially if it include FOX, FX, ABC, and ESPN content.

If you've got kids, I dunno how you can't get this (unless you're one of "those" who doesn't let your kids watch TV).

People who use tv to babysit and stupify their kids, don’t deserve kids.

I really don’t want this, but Disney said it’s going to have 4K content, and if that 4K content includes the Star Wars OT and their Buena Vista catalog...............
They also mentioned offering a discounted bundle with ESPN+ and Hulu, and since I already have those, that’d be a no-brainer.

i dont understand anything about the legal complexities but disney + isnt going to be available globally for two years..

Most of the stuff my kids watch on Netflix is Disney programming so it's a no brainer to switch. Its half the price. Any of the Netflix stuff I'm interested in I'll just obtain by other means.

There was no question of whether we were going to get it or not
Fri April 12, 2019 2:04 pm
I'll probably jump back and forth between this and Netflix.
Fri April 12, 2019 2:15 pm
I was shocked at the price. This is what I was expecting.
Me: Hmmm. I think I'd pay $10/mo for that.
D+: $30/mo
Me: Fuck you.
D+: ...
Me: OK.

this could well kill netflix but for mad basic reasons
Fri April 12, 2019 2:30 pm
I'm sure Disney will raise prices over time but it'll be years before they get to where Netflix is now.
Fri April 12, 2019 2:47 pm
How amazing is that Netflix seems like a small indie company besides Disney?
WELCOME TO THE DEATH OF ART MY FRIENDS.

This isn’t going to kill Netflix, guys. Get a grip.

nope, its going to kill art. And the world.
Fri April 12, 2019 2:51 pm
Seriously. Think of all the movies Disney doesn't own. If anything, this is probably going to create better content on Netflix, etc.., cause of the competition.
