What I'm not sure about it how to troubleshoot it before calling my home warranty company. The AC unit seems to be running fine (no weird sounds, no physical damage), I change my filters regularly, and air seems to be blowing (weakly in some areas...) out of my vents.

So AHS sent a service to look at this and it's the compressor that needs replacing. On a 2 year old unit. They'll cover most of it, but I'll be out $500 for the coolant refill. Not too bad.

But here's the rub. I'm thinking I've got a bigger ventilation issue going on in my attic. Need to install some soffit vents and probably some more roof vents or I bet this happens again next year. It's hot as hell up there.

THAT'S IT! the compressor...what did I call it? The conduit?

One came with the house. We installed another one with some help from friends. He had the saw to cut the hole in the roof, then I secured it down and weather sealed around it

bought a new slow-close toilet seat for one of my bathrooms - the one that i always forget isn't slow-close and then end up accidentally slamming it loud af

went to undo the existing attachment and of course its all corroded / rusted tight. worse, there is a plastic nut on it which got immediately stripped. gonna just have to use the hacksaw and cut that fucker off. god knows when i'll have time for that. had to do that to a different toilet last year too. made a giant fucking mess

I love my slow closing toilet lid.

LOVE IT

I home improved it on all by myself too.

I tightened the seat down too tight tho, even though it said not to

So now it goes to the side a little. But you don't have to sit special or anything like that

Well, that all depends on your interpretation of "improvement".

This is more of a yard work thread post, but today my neighbor finally did something about all the growth along our shared fence. It's weird to see in their yard now.
