I like to try and save threads from the Garbage Dump from time to time.

I wish I had a clever add-on to this, but you nailed it. No room to improve.

I was going to convert my guest bedroom closet into a work space. I was thinking about doing the floating desk and built in shelves and all.

Instead I found a nice desk that fits perfectly in it and I think i will do that instead. Because i suck at woodworking, dont have all of the proper tools, and if my girlfriend ever leaves me and i need a roommate....i can easily turn it back into the closet.

Ill shove the desk in there, through in some minor shelving, printer, two monitors, possibly paint the closet a different color and be done with it.

You should do one if you can. That sounds like the best.

I just got a new dishwasher and i couldnt be happier.

sure it would be nice but it just seems like overkill somehow..what dishwasher did you get? she was also steering us to a 10 grand refrigerator and I had to stop her there..putting money into the stove is what we're doing

don't do it. you can get a cheaper, but mobile, espresso machine (i love our breville barista touch (although it was still $1100)) that frankly brews better coffee. plus, it'll be antiquated before you know it. friends of ours that just built a new home did it and that's one of their kitchen regrets. spend the money on a built-in beverage refrigerator instead.
