The board's server will undergo upgrade maintenance tonight, Nov 5, 2014, beginning approximately around 10 PM ET. Prepare for some possible down time during this process.

One of my neighbors called me opinions on the matter inconsiderate and condescending to the neighbors who have to look at the house and are truly upset by the colors.
That's OK. I find HOAs to be condescending, racist holdovers from the red-line era, and the two families that we're attacking are both immigrant families who don't speak English as a first language. My inconsiderate ass will sleep just fine tonight.

We're doing a lot of new stuff to our apartment and I'm so excited about all of it.
Most of the space is painted. Just have to do the kitchen area and then we get started adding in all the fun stuff. A new bar, a new tall kitchen table/island, new lights, new shelves.
Once all of that is finished and I'm back to work we're going to DIY the record/turntable nook so that it has a padded seat and new storage.
We've lived in this apt for 12 years (longer than I've ever lived in a single place) this April and it feels like a brand new space. It's like moving and upgrading without the moving.
We got a quote for vinyl siding and new windows (7 double hung + two picture windows) last week. The quote came back higher than I expected, but we started talking about it and were coming around to the idea of biting the bullet and stretching the budget a bit to get it done once and for all.
Then I realized there was a second page to the PDF and page one was just the windows.
Currently talking myself into painting the house and watching DIY window replacement tutorials.

the price of windows is ridiculous. the worst part is that the windows don't increase the overall value of the home.

They do help insulation and heating/cooling costs.
Anyway, Covid supply chain issues have impacted windows big time.
