Lightbulb in my closet went out. Why is this bulb 23 inches? What no one sells 23 inch bulbs? Why couldn't they have just put a normal, God damned bulb fixture in the closet?

So, I installed a new light fixture in my closet today.

But THEY'RE the reason Trump looks orange, so kiss 'em good-bye, man. We're going back to incandescent.

And my garage door opener went today (or at least the spring loaded pole the provides the assist), but that's covered under my home warranty, so ... 8-)

Home Warranty has been great. The first year was paid for by the previous owners, and we got ...
- air conditioning repair
- air conditioning repair
- new toilet when the bowl cracked
- repaired bathtub faucet
- new A/C unit

Then we paid $800 for year two, and that covered ...
- new garbage disposal
- new water heater
- air conditioning repair
- and now, garage door opener repair

Still thinking about the next renewal, and you might guess ... our A/C concerns are still a thing.

But yes, our warranty has been great. Had a refrigerator and washer repair last year that were covered

Yeah we have 3 as well. One for upstairs, one for downstairs, and one for our loft. I'm paranoid they'll all go at once

I guess this is the thread in the A&E forum where we talk about lawn mower maintenance.

I found this list of essential care tips for your mower. Lawn mower owners, are there any glaring ommisions here? I like how tip #8 is basically just "pay someone else to do tips 1-7."

I’m grateful for the bump of this thread, I had forgotten about the post above, and I’m pretty damn proud of Sods’ Dice.

Spent the morning looking for a sprinkler leak. When I dug down to it, I cut the cable line going into the house. Wasn't going to have spectrum come fix it for 600 bucks so I spliced it and joined it back together

Finally found a missing sprinkler head in the one area of our yard that doesn't get water. Neighbors tree root grew all around it. Not trying to figure out how to get root off so I can replace sprinkler head. Maybe chainsaw if I can expose enough of it? Thoughts or ideas?
