If you think the filmmaking in Spring Breakers is amateurish I have a hard time believing you know much of anything about filmmaking

I've said a million times how much I dislike Harmony Korine as a film maker. I genuinely hate his work. As such, I've not seen Spring Breakers and I have zero desire to give it a shot.

I, am, however, really excited about Beach Bum. I'm going to see it. And if I like it even a little bit, I'll go back and give Spring Breakers a shot. But I'm going to need some shred of proof that Korine has outgrown his own bullshit before I even attempt to watch a movie he made with James Fucking Franco.

The chode has a fair amount of talent. But I can't stand him. It's not about his work as much as it's about him.

I will say that I love any time Franco works anywhere near Tina Fey. His bit parts on both 30 Rock and Date Night are outstanding.

I think there's a good chance you will like this considering that three of your favorite posters, VinylGuy, LV, and myself are all into it. And yes, Korine has finally outgrown his bullshit. It took him awhile but he finally reached your level.
