Meh. It's foundational for good reason, but at this point you should just watch Fincher's upcoming Mank (about the co-writer of the screenplay, and his battles with Wells during the production):

I agree, it is wonderful...But I think it's one of those flicks that you can kind of appreciate in this day and age without watching it. He was doing things that were completely new to cinema at the time, like digging trenches to get the sorts of camera angles he wanted. But I wouldn't implore someone to watch it today unless they were really interested in the historical context. Life's too short, and has doug even seen Blackhat yet?!

well, i think anyone with an interest in movies should watch it. Im always surprised and angry with the lack of movies from the 50s, 60, and 70s in the streaming services.

Amazon Prime has a ton of 50s-70s flicks, or at least most of the big ones. Maybe not where you are though.

Agree. I'd even go further and say anyone with an interest in storytelling in general should watch it. It's a brilliant film but it's also a truly wonderful story.

I haven't seen It's A Wonderful Life or Life Is Beautiful. I've seen every other film in the imdb top 50.

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Some things I liked, but...uh...I don't think it was very good.

Sounds like the opposite of a Famous Movie You Haven't Seen.
