Are we watching at the same pace? I just watched that episode two days ago. What a loveable train wreck.

Most of Season 9 definitely feels distant from what made the show great and its kind of weird to just have some of the characters drop off, or Pam and Jim return to really only having 1 kid.

However, the last few episodes are tear jerkers. I know the show ended a few years ago, but i miss it now!

Such a touching and hilarious show.

If I'm being fair, I think it was more boring than unfunny, but it was hard to separate the two feelings. I know they probably extended it to a "supersized" episode so they could promote Ferrell's appearance, but it probably would've been better as a 22-minuter.

I'll go ahead and eat a bit of crow and say that the other Ferrell episodes were good, especially when he co-hosted the Dundies.

We usually watch 2-3 episodes a night depending on how tired my wife is--she hit a groove around her 2nd trimester and we were watching 6-7 episodes per night. But she's had a rough two weeks at work, so we've slowed down a bit.

He has a handful of funny moments himself, but I love watching Michael's progression from loving him because he's a kindred spirit, to hating him because he's the new boss, to accepting that he's the perfect man for to take over for him. Culminating, of course, in:

Oof, I had forgotten how rough the Sweeney Todd episode was. Andy's phone going off in the middle of the play, and then he prematurely fingers Sweeney Todd as the murderer? Just brutal.
