What’s the general feeling on the addition of Pete and a Clark? I really liked Pete, am ambivalent about Clark.
As a way to do a soft reboot of the show within the show so that the series could live on after the primary cast left, I liked them well enough. There were a bit too "Jim and Dwight-seque" for my taste and I'm glad they chose to turn away from that dynamic as it progressed. Pete was a nice character that felt obvious and a bit dead-end. Clark was an annoying and flimsy character that had a lot of story potential depending on where they chose to take him.
Yeah I agree with every word of this. I thought Pete was a perfect device for Erin’s development though (her reunion with Joan Cusack felt so out of place to me).

I liked the reunion but totally understand why it didn't work for people. Also, I absolutely agree about Pete as device for Erin.
