The actors kept me in it til the action picked up (which it does.) Even a lot of the smaller parts are memorable.
Yeah, i guess maybe this is where it lost some people. I really loved the performances, Noho Hank and Stephen Root in particular. But I get why some folks might've tuned out before everyone started shooting each other.

what frustrates me is how many people seemed to watch the first couple eps and lose interest
i wanted to like this but found myself uncompelled to invest time beyond episode three. it's a show that's just kinda...there
I agree. And I ended up watching the whole season, even though I can't really remember much about it now. Didn't strike a chord with me, but there was nothing I can point to about it as being done wrong or poorly

Hell yeah, took me a few months to finally sit down and watch this show but season 1 is excellent and season 2 started off great last night. Great writing and surprisingly even better performances. Never thought I'd say it but Henry Winkler's character is hilarious. NoHo Hank character might be my fav though.

I wouldn't say it's hilarious but the opening episode certainly held my attention for the half hour. Looks like an interesting season; I'm already wondering how Barry is going to hold it together while walking a tight rope and spinning plates. Hader's going to get another Emmy nom, I can tell you that now.

I'm just going to quote my last two comments because it's more of the same. I'm surprised this show hasn't caught on more here; it's every bit as good as last season.

Another episode that flew by. Once again they're really good at setting up the last few minutes and making you want to see what happens next.
