Loved everything until the final sequence, which went on too long and was too tonally off to feel like a definitive ending.

Spoiler: show: I was fully on board with everything up until the movie started playing. Like what they did with Sally and John at the play, that felt like an authentic arch.

The movie was just too goofy, and it also raises the question of how much of the real story does John even know?

I keep going back and forth between, “Hm” and “That did not work at all.”

I think the only thing that could’ve saved that episode was Daniel Day-Lewis actually showing up as Cousineau.

Spoiler: show: I love how Barry decides to turn himself in, then is immediately killed. But when gene shoots him the first time, he looks up and delivers that goofy “oh wow” before getting shot in the head.
