I watched Pootie Tang for the third time the other day and realized Louis C.K. wrote and directed the damn thing. WTF?

Listen to his Marc Maron interview. They go over the whole genesis/original intent/studio debacle/distancing thing from that project. It's pretty interesting.

I'd be lying if I said I knew where the relevant material starts, but it's a really interesting interview anyway.

Speakin of, that episode where he goes to apologize to Marc and he's like, "yeah, great, so in ten years you're going to do it again?" I honestly don't know how he does it but the show is just amazing. The Christmas episode, where he's trying to get the doll fixed? I was on an airplane watching it and trying to contain my laughter was somewhat difficult.

I've never been a huge fan of his stand-up. But what he's doing with his show is completely brilliant. It can't be overstated.

In fact, I would rank Louie above Breaking Bad on the "best fucking show ever" list.

Maron has a show on IFC that is pretty good. I dig his pod casts. I don't find him laugh out loud funny but he is an interesting cat.
