Two strong episodes to wrap the season, that is the Louie I've come to love.

For some reason I really thought last week was the finale. Pleasantly surprised to find I was wrong. And I really loved those two episodes. Really touching and incredibly funny. LOVED the scene in the museum. Especially the meta aspect when Louie showed up on the screen just as he was walking away.

This season has done a lot to sort of demystify the show. Which is strange but also inventive. He's gotten more absurd but he's also taken away some of the more abstract and hilarious "continuity errors" of the show. It's making it all come together in a cohesive way that he's never attempted before. It's fascinating.

yeah it was really great, also a mindfuck how Maron showed up and pretty much verbatim told Louie what Louie told Maron on the WTF podcast some years ago.

i tried out louie from the beginning a few months ago and it didn't take; i only watched a few episodes. last night, i binged on a bunch of the latest season and i'm hooked.

should i finish out season four, or start from where i left off with season one?

Start from the beginning. It's worth it.

I mean, I'll watch everything eventually, but will leaving the season 4 plot lines now and picking up with season 1, then returning to the rest of season 4 later fuck me up?

that split second in the opening sequence when louie satisfyingly grins a little when he makes it up the subway stairs in decent time

I like his look towards the camera operator when the passerby gives the finger.
