How does video games work? Do you play them to the end?

That's the general idea of a video game, yes. Newer ones like Minecraft and Super Mario Maker though are expanding that definition as are the ones in the new "games as a service" genre.

Pretty much. If it has a single player story I will count it once complete. It it is a "game as service" I will count it once I feel like I have done everything I want to do. Those games are endless.

08/50 Books
Son of Retro Pulp Tales by Joe R. Lansdale
Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein
The World of Lore: Monstrous Creatures by Aaron Mahnke
A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel by Hope Larson
Cassandra French's Finishing School for Boys: A Novel by Eric Garcia
We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy by Ta-Nehisi Coates
William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope by Ian Doescher
A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

05/50 Movies
    Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)
    The Dark Tower (2017)
    Kong: Skull Island (2017)
    Justice League (2017)
    Geostorm

I really liked listening to the New Hope performance. I know from experience that I couldn't get through it by reading so I'm glad I found that.

Geostorm was so bad. We were watching it and the whole time all of us were ragging on it. As soon as I saw the bad guy (just in case, I'm not naming him) I said, there's the bad guy. Guess what? He was the bad guy. Weird huh.

I really disliked the beginning because it was basically showing how government works. I liked how Butler kept talking and talking shit about the politicians, too bad people suck up to them so much in reality.

When they showed all of the shuttles lined up I was like - what world is this where NASA gets actual funding? And they destroyed that big ol' station and yet 3 months later had the funds ready to go?

So far, my favorite line from any movie is in North by Northwest. "Is there something wrong with your eyes?" "Yes, they're sensitive to too many questions."

I added a key to my books, should anyone be concerned that I'm not reading my books the right way. Still, as far as I'm concerned a book is a book.

My job requires a lot of driving. Almost all of which I fill with audiobooks.

When I'm in the office, I can often watch movies while working.

    The Book of Henry (2017)
    Black Panther (2018)
    Being Canadian (2015)

I can certainly see why TBOH lost Colin Star Wars. That movie good at times but holy cow was it insipid at times. It was a trainwreck from start to finish.

Black Panther was good, but the video game fight at the end was pretty boring. And the costume on the guy from Get Out was cool except for the foam tubing he had on his shoulder. It just didn't look like it fit the rest of the movie at all.

Are you saying that you only watched Attack of the Clones this year? I thought we weren't counting rereads or rewatches.
