That one's been in my queue, it's just finding the time.

First viewings only:

So, just to go back to our earlier conversation: I've seen most of the HDTGM movies because I was alive back then and we rented videos from Blockbuster. I count ~30 movies on your list that I've already seen, most of them multiple times. I mean, Buckaroo Banzai? Or Tomb Raider? Or WarGames? Or Pretty Woman? I saw all of those in the theater, let alone on video.

I can't speak for the rest of the oldies on the board but yeah, I've seen a lot of good movies already.

You should check out DARYL or Cloak & Dagger or even Firefox (get your Clint kick on) if you like good-bad 80's movies.

I did not intentionally pick two Indian movies to end the year with,

that's just what came up. Thought MtP would be funnier than it was. Lion I knew nothing about but my wife picked it. Stupid subtitles crapped out halfway through and we found out that the movie did not hard-code them for translation purposes so there were entire scenes where we had no clue what was being said until five minutes later when the subtitles started again but with the five minute delay. So we'd be listening to the conversation and reading what we missed five minutes ago. Great way to watch a movie.

We also watched Monuments Men. I watched it on the way back from Europe in 2016 but the airline saw fit to blur the artwork (ffs people, it's art). There wasn't anything really that offensive but whatevs. The movie was as good as I remember, though the writing was like someone saw the Ocean's movies and thought they could imitate that. (Looking at you Clooney) There were some swings from comedy and serious, sometimes too close to each other. But overall it's still a good movie.

Goodreads has a far too expansive definition of the word "book"

IVe done tons of audiobooks this past year just for ease and time compatibility and it’s just not the same. Even when it’s done well.

Podcasts have taken over and ruined me in terms of the time I spend and how I engage. Reading has taken a major hit. I need to fix that.

Post something that isn’t your usual constant insecure snivelling and whining and I’ll let you know.
Your posts read like a 4 year old who’s shit himself in class and has to make sure we all know about it.
Ever day.

Not very often, no. It’s not an activity I generally find much pleasure in.

Think he’s married? She probably reads to him at bedtime.
God bless her. Some women take being maternal to extremes.

Some posters have a blind spot when it comes to LV. Yet your trees and the like get dragged over coals for the same thing.

It’s a bit odd.
