As the year comes to a close, I just wanted to say a quick thank you to whoever set this up and to everyone else who also participated. Too often in the past, I've used any number of excuses that have kept me from reading to this degree. This challenge really helped focus me, and it was very rewarding. There's no way I would have made my way through so many books without this challenge. Thanks for the motivation!

To be fair, most of us are counting only movies that we watched for the first time this year. Older movies, even if we watched them, wouldn't be on the list b/c of repeat viewing.

I'm guilty here. I don't watch a lot of movies in general. So when it came time to make myself watch one, I usually just went with something I could find on HBO or Showtime. I should probably work harder on this for next year.
